TUESDAY, MAY 8
May 8 is VE Day, a public holiday in the Czech Republic. In Communist-era Czechoslovakia, this holiday marking the end of World War II was originally celebrated on May 9, as it was in the Soviet Union. In 1991, VE Day was brought forward to May 8, the day observed by the Western allies.

In what's billed as the "dubstep happening of the spring," London producer Benga plays a hotly anticipated DJ set at the Roxy.
Stoner-rock legends Sleep bring their unrelenting riffing to Lucerna Music Bar.
SATURDAY, MAY 12
Electroclash icon Miss Kittin is the special guest at Roxy's Flow night.
Popularly known as the Red Army Choir, Russia's Alexandrov Ensemble (Alexandrovci) perform at Tipsport Arena.
Portuguese pop-fado group OqueStrada mix the old and the new at Palác Akropolis.
