Here are some of the hottest venues in Prague where to celebrate the night of the year, just remember to make a reservation soon as this event tends to sell out fast.

Zizkov Tower: For a truly exclusive night, the celebration in the OBLACA Restaurant will offer a luxurious six-course tasting menu prepared by Mr. Rudolf Nikolai and unique molecular mixology cocktails. Of course there will also be a broad selection of wines and a magician’s gastronomical performance. T.G.I. Friday’s: The Anděl venue is hosting the annual New Year’s Eve party. Offering a 3 course menu, a welcome drink, a live band followed by a DJ until 3 am and an exclusive bartender fire show. A good place to see fireworks from this venue is to walk a few blocks or take the tram towards the river and watch them from Palackeho Bridge. www.tgifridays.cz
Rock Café: For an extra rocking New Year’s Eve, Rock Café is offering a program full of great bands: Kníry, Just for Being, Vintage Vine and Ant Mafia. Kníry (Moustache) is a rock’n’roll band and Just for Being a four man band founded in 2009. Vintage Vine are combine the rock melodies with the ferocity and energy of Irish and Scottish music. Last but not least, Ant mafia is an indie rock’n’roll band from Prague. To watch fireworks from this location you can walk down to most legií (legions Bridge) by the National Theater, or you can even go down to Střelecký ostrov, just beware of the strict no drinking law. www.rockcafe.cz
K U Bar & Lounge: Offering unique and groovy vibes all night and welcome drinks, KU is hosting a Moulin Rouge style party. This elegant party will have the staff dressed to impress with men suited up in black tie and ladies in sexy Moulin Rouge outfits. Roxy Music Club: Joined by NoD gallery, this party will have three stages ready for an unconventional night full of great music and a 3D video-mapping light show. The ticket includes a free mixed drink and each stage will have a different choice of DJs. To go watch the fireworks from Roxy, you can go to Old Town Square and sky light up above the astrological clock. The other option is to go towards Staroměstská metro stop and see the Prague Castle surrounded by fireworks which will also be reflected in the river. www.roxy.cz
Boat Party on New Years: Say goodbye to 2015 in style with the magnificent view of the Charles bridge and Hradčany castle. Kampa Park: For a riverside New Year’s Eve party, Kampa Park is the place to go. The venue has seating indoors in the main restaurant but also the winter garden and riverside terrace with a view of Charles Bridge, and another terrace as well as a Venitian balcony with a view of the Certovka stream. Marina Grosseto: For a party on the river, Marina Grosseto is a great choice. The restaurant is on a docked boat so you can float on the water with the possibility of getting off as you please. The New Year party offers a menu of Amuse bouche, grilled zucchini with goat cheese, beef tartar with a poached quale eggs and a choice of desert. A welcome drink is included with the ticket and it’s in a perfect location to see fireworks above the Prague Castle and Charles Bridge. www.grosseto.cz
Cloud 9: The popular bar belonging to the Hilton Hotel is offering musical entertainment with an imaginary world theme for the night. There will be a choice of 6 dinners prepared by an award-winning team of chefs. There will be a giant plasma photo wall, dance and singing performances, an enchanted children’s playroom, and a countdown to midnight with two after parties. Cloud 9 has a great view of the fireworks so you don’t have to go far. Another option is to walk down to the riverside. www.cloud9.cz
Pub Crawl: For a wild bar-hopping New Year you can do a pub crawl that includes welcome shots at each venue and entrance to the well-known Karlovy Lazne club sweetened with a bottle of champagne. The venues on the list are Chapeau Rouge, Roxbury, Double Trouble and Batalion and the price includes 1 hour of unlimited drinking of beer, wine, vodka shooters and champagne at the first venue. www.pubcrawl.cz
Panoptikon Barikada: A popular and unique theater is inviting everyone to the A Maze in Technicolour Party, hosted by The 101 Collective, A Maze in Tchaiovna and Prag:Matics CREW. The linkeup includes a one man orchestra and several different DJs. There will also be a Fire Stage, face painting, WizArts Decorations and a Free Shop. The preferred dress code is fancy dress or costumes and there will be delicious cakes, tea and much more. The Room: The Room is offering a unique 50 Shades of Gray style party. The menu includes Thai omelet with roasted beef, canapés, plenty of cheesy meals and kebab and even Mexican dishes. The dress code is smart sexy and the program has a DJ, a raffle, live performances and a photo booth. Zapomenuty Cas: The New Year’s Rout offers all you can eat and drink between 18:00 and 23:00. Their special menu includes duck, vegan burgers, Czech goulash, beef tartar and a chocolate fountain with fruit. Drinks area also all you can drink with the exception of spirits, cocktails and bottled wine. If you stay until midnight, they will also serve 0.1l of Bohemia Sekt. Throughout the night they will be serving special wintery beers on tap. If you want to go watch the fireworks at midnight, you can either take tram to Palackého náměstí to watch by the river, or go to Riegrovy Sady to see the city light up from a hill-top view. www.zapomenutycas.cz
Hard Rock Café: With a program full of great music, delicious food and amazing drinks, Hard Rock is ready to party until 4 AM. The family-friendly event offers a three course menu with a variety of choices from salmon, BBQ ribs to veggie options and either ice cream or the Oreo cheesecake as desert. The drink choices range from cocktails to soft drinks and including wine, beer and even coffee. The venue near the Charles Bridge so you can run out and watch the fireworks by the river – table reservations remain throughout the night and the kitchen is open until 2 AM. www.hardrock.com
