Prague Food Festival 2016
Prague Food Festival, May 27th – 29th @ Palace Gardens
A total of 20 restaurants will serve food at the event including six newcomers to the food scene: Sabers Tapas & Vinos, Adore, Etnosvět, Gran Fierro, Mirellie and Hostaria will join the festival for the first time this year. The selection of meals will be colorfully international – French, Argentinian, Asian, Creole, Austrian, Indian, Italian, Hungarian, Thai and Mediterranean. Of course, there will be vegetarian and BIO specials too.
This year the general theme of the event will introduce the broader philosophy of “Taste Waste”, condemning waste in all shapes and forms. The diverse program will include a stylized fashion show featuring ‘new life to new clothes’ designs, delicious package-less foods and more.
Exciting presentations will be the highlights of the program with information on unusual ways to recycle, modern composting as well as gardening and organic waste management in urban environments. Visitors will also get a change to admire unique art pieces created by an artist who uses recycled glass and a “slow fashion” show using ecological materials.
In addition to tasty food there will be a great selection of drinks: from Lobkowicz beers, to bio wine all the way to Hennessy cognac. Two bars will offer special cocktails, shows and mouthwatering hors d'oeuvres. You can enjoy your favorite drinks at the lounge overlooking the entire city of Prague.
Special delicacies at the festival will include goose liver, international hot chocolates, quality cheeses, fresh exotic fruits, frozen yogurt, local meats, Italian ice cream and Lindt will introduce their new mint chocolate. Following last years’ success, Kenwood Colloseu will once again grace the public with an exclusive moderated cooking show starring chef Moreno Cerdoni.
Finally, to celebrate 700 years since the birth of Czech King and Roman Emperor Charles IV, the national culinary team will prepare a historic menu. This exceptional meal will take all your senses into the 14th century with every sip, bite and dessert.
Come enjoy a day full of great food, exciting shows and new experiences. The Prague Food Festival is bringing 42 degustation stands to three hectares of castle grounds for an expected 18,000 visitors to enjoy the biggest food event of the year over the span of three days.
