Get to know the Czech education system

The Czech educational system is generally a good one and only differs from the methods used in the West in a few respects.

For one, there's a remarkable shortage of well-educated, youthful, energetic teachers.

Two, salaries are still quite low, and three, foreign-language instruction in public schools suffers from a lack of properly trained and capable teachers.

However, the Czech educational system is quite rigorous and anyone who completes it will have put a substantial amount of work in to do so.

PS - One of the Czech terms for university study -- Vysoká škola -- literally means "high school." Try not to get confused and be on the lookout for Czech friends who make that mistake. Similarly, Czechs refer to what you may know as high school as "middle school" (střední škola).
