IWAP Charity Christmas Market
The Intermational Women's Association will host a charity market in November
The International Women's Association of Prague (IWAP) is an independent, non-political, non-profit organization voluntarily run by its members. IWAP welcomes all women who live in the Czech Republic and aims to promote friendship and support as well as organize social and cultural events for its members in addition to raising funds for selected Czech charities.
IWAP members are currently organizing their fourth annual Charity Christmas Market, to be held on 23rd of November at Diplomat Hotel (Evropská 15, Praha 6) from 10 am until 4 pm, with free admission. This exciting event is one of IWAP’s most important charity fundraisers. Funds raised will make an important difference for this year's chosen charities, Amelie and DOM.
Over the past 22 years, IWAP has contributed over 21 million Kč to Czech charities through various fundraising projects in the Czech Republic. With the help of our donor sponsors, raffle prize donors, vendors, and visitors of the market, we hope to raise a substantial amount of funds for our chosen charities.
In addition to being an important fundraiser, IWAP’s Charity Christmas Market is a fun and exciting retail event for individuals and families. With an expected attendance of hundreds of visitors from a diverse and international community, foreign and Czech, this festive event is sure to be a fun day for all. The shopping will be as diverse as the visitors, with nearly 40 vendors offering their goods, including:
• Health and beauty products
• Handmade baked goods, jams and chocolates
• Products for the home including candles, linens and decorations
• Handmade jewelry, felt and patchwork items as well as unique handbags
• Handcrafted artistic clocks
• Gently used English books (as well as new children’s books)
In addition to early Christmas shopping, there will be fun activities for the younger generation in a special “Kids’ Corner”. The Little Gym and Little Mole School will collaborate to create a fun-filled day for the little ones with activities ranging from decorating cookies, coloring, playtime and even a festive raffle drawing that children will not want to miss.
Major sponsors are providing vital financial and practical support for IWAP’s charitable aims. Without their help, this event would not be possible. (Sponsors to be confirmed).
