SIGNAL Festival: Attend the ALIPI workshop!

Signal Festival Workshop by Yamkovoy Andrey 25.-26.06.2015

SIGNAL festival invites you to the second workshop of the ALIPI project led by Yamkovoy Andrey - digital, visual and interactive artist from Kiev, Ukraine.

Andrey, working in Front Pictures since 2005, is specialised on projections and being expert on fulldome projections. Andrey´s work is based on experimentation with form, colour and motion; real-time graphics; interactive installations; cg graphics; animation; vfx; high detailed modeling; photo-real rendering and lighting; technology, visual programming. He masters Touchdesigner, Python, 3ds max, modo and houdini programmes.

The two-day workshop will elucidate different software and approaches when working on fulldome projections. Andrey Yamkovoy´s lecture will start with general information about fulldome, its format and hardware or projection set-up. Subsequently, he will reveal his tips, problem points and explain details on fulldome camera shooting, offline/interactive content and live signal streaming. At last but not the least, you will learn about 2d/3d, games, stereo and realtime maya fulldome viewport.

The event is a part of the ALIPI project (Advancing Light-driven Public Interactions) that connects partner festivals of light and new technology Bella Skyway (Torun, Poland), GLOW (Eindhoven, The Netherlands), MoTA Museum of Transitory Art (Ljubljana, Slovenia) and SIGNAL festival (Prague, Czech Republic). The ALIPI project is co-financed by the Creative Europe programme of the EU.
