The Forest – The stories of trees and people
National Museum of Agriculture - 13th June 2015 – 31st December 2015
Unusual experiential and educational exhibition was prepared by the artistic team of international association Mamapapa at the National Agricultural Museum in Prague. On a journey through a forest, visitors will learn about forest creatures, listen to the sounds and music of Vladimir Vaclavek and fireflies will guide them through the maze of a tree trunk.
Visitors will embark on a journey of mythical tree of life and knowledge from the beginning of time. What can you expect? An exciting and playful journey to the ancient soul of the forest that still accompanies us nowadays, but we have lost the awareness of it. Tales of trees, foresters and other inhabitants of the forest can be viewed in various nooks and nests amid the tree trunk of height larger than life sculptures. These sculptures were created by 2 artists from New York, for the first time in Prague!
You can also look forward accompanying events, such as workshops for children and adults, reading about the woods, theatres, bands and lectures.
