Chosen by the Česká filmová a televizní akademie (Czech Film and Television Academy), the awards - the Czech equivalent of the Oscars - honor the best in cinema here over the past year.
This year's ceremony will be held, as usual, in Palác Lucerna's great hall, and televised live on ČT1.
