Public transit to be disrupted on weekends

Repairs to tram and metro tracks to také place for the next two weekends

There will be interruptions to public transportation in Prague during the next two weekends. The first weekend involves tram service, and the second will see closures of some metro stops.

There will be no tram service between Florence and Palmovka this weekend due to track maintenance. Service will be disrupted from 4:30 am on Saturday, March 24, to 12:30 am on Monday, March 26, in both directions.

In the section from Palmovka to Invalidovna, Krizikova, Florenc and Masarykovo nádraží, a substitute X3 bus service will be available in the daytime operation and X92 bus service at night.

Tram line 3 in the direction of Nádraží Braník will be shortened to the Bílá labuť stop. Line 6 in the direction from the center will terminate at Palmovka. Boarding for 6 line at Palmovka is at Na Žertvách street, while the exit is on Zenklova Street.

Lines 8 and 92 from Bílá labuť to Palmovka are diverted through Těšnov, Vltavská, Pražská tržnice, Maniny and Libeňský most.

The extended Easter weekend, starting from Friday, March 30 until the end of the operation on Monday, April 2 will see a two-way interruption of operation on line C between Pražského povstání and Kačerov. and the closing of the Dejvicka stop on line A.

Information leaflets will be available from March 26 at metro stations, and staff in reflective vests will be at the closed stops to give out information in Czech and English. Some 60 signs in Czech and English with maps will be in relevant stations as of March 27.

In the daytime operation, a substitute bus service XC will run from Pražského povstání to Pankrác, Budějovická and Kačerov. The substitute buses will have low floors for barrier-free access.

Service on bus numbers 135 and 196 will be increased. Some of the bus stops will be moved to slightly to better accommodate the changes.

The Dejvicka stop will be closed for repairs. Existing trams 8, 18, 20 and 26 will go from the Hradčanská or Bořislavka metro stations to Vítězné náměstí, the location of the Dejvicka stop.

Work also continues on one side of the Muzeum stop on the A line ad on escalators at Anděl and Náměstí Republiky.
