Prague trams to be disrupted all week
An accident damaged tracks at a crucial location in the center
Tram traffic will be disrupted in the center of Prague for much of the week, likely to Friday, Sept. 14. The reason is an accident that occurred on Spalena Street at around 8 pm on Sept. 7.

The Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) did not give specific details of the accident.
Crews could be seen welding the tracks over the weekend, and paving stones have been removed for a long stretch at the corner of Spalena and Národní.
Lines 2, 9, 18, 22, 23, 41 and all night lines are affected by the track work.
Night trams will be affected in particular, and the central change point will be moved from Lazarská to Karlovo náměstí.
From Monday, Sept 10, tram lines 9, 22 and 23 will be temporarily canceled and replaced by new lines 32 and 39.
Starting Sept. 10 line number 2 will be diverted through the Jiráskovo náměstí in the section of the Národní
Line number 9 is canceled. In section Sídliště Řepy – Anděl – Újezd it will be replaced by line number 32; in the section Spojovací – Hlavní nádraží – Lazarska it is replaced by line number 39.
Line 18 in the Albertov – Národní divadlo section will be diverted through Výtoň, Palackého náměstí and Jiráskovo náměstí.
Line number 22 (and 23) will be canceled. In the section Bílá Hora – Vypich – Malostranská – Újezd it will be replaced by line number 32; in section Nádraží Hostivař – Radošovická – IP Pavlova – Lazarska it will be replaced by line number 39.
Night traffic changes are: Line 93 will be in the section Albertov – Národní
Line number 97 will be diverted in the section Karlovo náměstí – Malostranská viaPalackého náměstí, Jiráskovo náměstí and Staroměstská.
Line 98 will be in the section Lazarská – Anděl will be diverted through Palackého náměstí and Zborovská.
Line number 99 in the section Karlovo náměstí – Újezd will be diverted via Palackého náměstí, Jiráskovo náměstí, Staroměstská and Malostranské náměstí.
Tram 32 will cover the following route: Sídliště Řepy – Anděl – Újezd – Malostranská – Pražský hrad – Malovanka – Vypich – Bílá Hora.
Tram 39 will cover the following route: Spojovací– Biskupcova – Olšanské náměstí – Hlavní nádraží – Václavské náměst – Lazarská – Karlovo náměstí – IP Pavlova – Náměstí Míru – Kubánské náměstí – Nádraží Strašnice – Nádraží Hostivař.
Transit workers will be at various locations on Sept. 10 to explain the changes.
