Antipearle and SIMPLE Concept Store - a holiday collaboration
The Sea, One Designer, tons of inspiration and a hoighty toighty store got together…
Success comes in more than one form as designer Markéta Dlouhá-Márová is certainly finding out. Fresh off her win at Designblok 2012, where she won Best Jewellery Collection 2012, the designer will also collaborate with Simple Concept Store, just in time for the holiday season, creating a limited edition line available in December.
For so many young and emerging designers a showcase within the likes of Simple Concept Store can help propel their career forward. For Lukáš Loskot, creative director of Simple Concept Store, it was more than just another collaboration,“Jewelry Antipearle is exceptional in my opinion, and I am pleased that we can imagine SIMPLE {having} something totally new, something that was missing in the Czech Republic so far and {that is} world-class."
Sea Urchin Ring - 24-karat rose gold plated brass with white fresh-water pearls (13,600CZK)
The limited edition line will have many similarities to her winning line at Designblok 2012 titled Frutti di Mare. As an avid diver, Markéta draws inspiration for her line in the most unlikely underwater creatures whom have been transformed into wearable pieces of art. Her recent Frutti di Mare collection saw sea urchin earring's which opened to reveal a space in which the wearer can add pearls, a star fish cuff linked together by its legs to create a truly beautiful wrist adornment, or shark’s teeth that have been dovetailed at the ‘gum’ side to create a dangerous cocktail ring.
Star Fish Cuff - 24 karat rose gold plated brass with fresh-water pearls (17,900CZK)
This same love for the underwater world will also be presented in the limited-edition line at Simple. Decorative rings, luxurious bracelets, and elaborate earrings, all of which are made from precious metals, will be complete with a veneer of onyx black and the signature pearls that have made Antipearle a hit.
