Although farther afield Lipno has alot to offer. At 48 kilometers long it is the largest water reservoir in the Czech republic bordered by beautiful national forests and South Czech villages.  It's possible to take a dip wherever you want but sandy beaches can be found in the villages of Černá v Pošumaví, Frymburk, and Lipno nad Vltavou.

All the water sports are possible including canoeing, yachting, windsurfing, and kite-surfing. Rental places provide all the necessary gear.  The lake is also well known for its rich fishing waters. The lake is packed with carp, pike and perch.

Scared of getting swallowed by a giant pike?  Visit the inside pool in Lipno nad Vltavou or relax with a massage from their wellnes center
