job fairs coming to Prague and Brno

Companies are actively seeking qualified employees in the major Czech cities

Unemployment is at a low in the Czech Republic, and companies are competing to find qualified people. There are two upcoming job fairs for people with language skills.

JobSpin.CZ Multilingual Job Fair Powered by Brno Daily is at the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University in Brno on Oct. 14. A week later on Oct. 21, there is the JobSpin.CZ Multilingual Job Fair Powered by Prague.TV at Anglo-American University in Prague.

Previous editions of the fairs in both cities have been very successful, with companies saying they had found a number of candidates that they would be following up with for further interviews and possibly job offers.

Each city will have some different companies, and a few will be in both.

New companies include Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Bluelink. Returning companies include Amazon, Medtronic, SIRVA, Crown Relocations, Accenture, and SAP.

Both events have free admission, but people should register online in advance. The event is intended for the international audiences in Brno and Prague, such as people with language skills, international education, and professional background. Students, graduates, and professionals are welcome and should bring CVs or resumes.

People attending will have the opportunity to meet employers seeking multilingual candidates; hand resumes to company representatives; find out about the hiring procedure; compare employers, available job opportunities and discover the demand for their skills; and learn about new job opportunities.

There will be several presentations for job seekers as well. In both cities, there will be presentations from about moving to the Czech Republic and living as an expat.

In Prague, Move to Prague - Relocation Experts will be available to discuss relocating. In Brno, the Brno Expat Centre will answer similar questions.

In both cities, you can also consult about your CV with professionals from Manpower. Experts will provide free consultations at a special CV consulting panel during the whole day.

A recruitment consultant for Reed will also discuss the ins and outs of the hiring process in both cities.

In Prague, job seekers can look forward to recruiting sessions of AB InBev, Accenture, Crown Worldwide Group, and Manpower Group.

In Brno, there will be a session on job opportunities in Deutsche Telekom Services Europe CZ, Brno.

An attorney from Expatlegal will explain your rights under the labor law such as what your employer must tell you before you start working and how long the guaranteed vacation is.

Brno Expat Centre will have a presentation on working across cultures and developing intercultural competence to deal with diversity.

Prague has long been a center for service industry jobs such as call centers and service centers, as well as a home for several multinational companies.

Brno in recent years has become a high-tech center with several universities cooperating with industries and the government.

Both Prague and Brno have a wide range of firms that need English speakers and especially multilingual speakers.
