Children at Riverside Early Years school play and learn outside every day
Riverside Early Years Open Days which take place on Thursday, February 8th from 9:00 to 12:00
Early Years is purposefully situated in a villa, giving the children a sense of ‘home away from home’. They make the school their own as they move about the building during PE, Music, Art, Library, Drama, and Czech lessons, as well as a variety of after-school club activities. The staff at Early Years is dedicated to helping the children grow in confidence. The children participate in horse vaulting lessons, bouldering sessions, and swimming instruction as part of our school day curriculum. These experiences challenge the children to take risks outside of the traditional classroom. In turn, these risks help the students to be bolder in their classroom learning. When the weather is cooperative, both children and staff enjoy taking our maths and literacy lessons into the garden. They spend time outdoors daily, regardless of the weather. Gardening, playing in the sand, exploring the water play area, riding bikes and running with friends is an essential part of the day at Early Years.
Early Years is for children aged 3 – 5 and they have the opportunity to continue their education at Riverside Primary School. The school offers school minibus service.
If you’d like to visit Riverside Early Years school to learn and see more, please join us on one of our Open Days which take place on Thursday, February 8th from 9:00 to 12:00 and on Friday, May 18th from 15:30 to 18:30.
