Ice Mother is a romantic comedy about an isolated older woman who becomes interested in winter swimming after she meets an elderly man, who is also lonely. Barefoot takes place during World War 11, with a young city boy whose family relocates to a rural area. Milada is based on the Cold War–era show trial of Czechoslovak patriot Milada Horáková.

These films were followed by Little Crusader (Křižáček) by Václav Kadrnka with nine nominations, Filthy (Špína) by Tereza Nvotová and Quartette (Kvarteto) by Miroslav Krobot with eight nominations, and Garden Store: Family Friend (Zahradnictví: Rodinný přítel) with four nominations.
