Czech Poster Museum

Visual history of a nation (1897 - 1989)

The Czech Poster Museum is dedicated to exhibiting a visual history of a Nation through Poster Art. Our basic premise is simple. Poster art appeals to everyone. It was designed as persuasion, not high art to break boundaries, and as such its super fun and easy to appreciate. Where else can you cover 100 years of commercial, political, design, and typographical history and have a good laugh as well? Poster communicate immediately! COme and view the past as the locals on the street once did.

The Czech Poster Museum is conveniently located in the 15th-century house of Golden Grapes. Once owned by Jan Hus lawyer this 5 story, 1000 square meter space is home to our temporary and permanent collections and also includes a cafe and gift shop.
